The once great American Spirit is on life support

What has happened to the great American spirit.  As I look around this country I am angry at the complacency or ignorance that most Americans show.  I have the pleasure of traveling around  for work and as I do this I talk with those I work around to get a feel of where they stand in this country.  When I speak of politics most have a dumbfounded look about this as if I was speaking a foreign language or some far of dialect they are unfamiliar with.  People have been numbed by the drugs they take for their so called deficiencies they claim to have, they are caught up in the new tech device they have or new show and all the while most have their heads in their laps or up their own asses  texting the other zombies that have no direction or purpose in life.

We have become an unexceptional country run by unexceptional so-called leaders.  The liberals, communist, fascists have been very successful at infiltrating our school system and turning it into a zombie factory.  A good education, not necessarily a college education, but an education can open up many doors for those willing to learn.  An educated man is a liberated man, an uneducated man is, well just that, ignorant and easily led.  Most of the time they will be led astray.  Which is where this country is today.

It is amazing at how many people that are involved in the patriot community still hold hope in voting and politicians.  We are far removed from voting our way out of this chaotic mess that we have allowed to be created.  Recently someone did a study and listed the 20 most conservative members of congress and one of KY’s senators, Mitch McConnell was listed as 15th most conservative.  For anyone paying attention or lives in KY and has the displeasure of his representation realizes, or should, how scary this is.  He almost always votes for larger government, not less.  He is not conservative….

We must find that long lost American spirit that was able to overcome the impossible and free themselves  from what so many thought never possible, British tyranny.  Well, we live in these times today.  We must find the pioneer spirit, we must restore the anger and begin to hold those accountable for our loss of liberty.   We must learn to use the same tactics that our enemies use.  We must find that civil disobedience in ourselves that was in our founders.  We must stand up to the bullies that keep taking what is rightfully ours from birth.

I will continue to put my hope in Christ, and try to put hope in my fellow American, the ones that I can find.  I look forward to those that I will meet with in April.  Then we will come together and edify ourselves with the gospel of liberty and set out to put it to work and hopefully it will spread and not become extinguished.  For this is the last place in which Lady Liberty still exists.  My ancestors fought for liberty in this country.  My children deserve no less from me.

Thought I would do a post with links to businesses, some in Kentucky that carry products or provide services that may help us in our endeavors.

Rally at the Capitol

On January 19 at High Noon in a little town called Frankfort Ky about 400 or so Kentuckians gathered to defend their rights (ALL OF THEM).  The entire event was peaceful and went off without incident.  I wasn’t really looking but only saw a handful of LEO’s present.  Both parties were respectful of each other.

There were several speakers involved. Jim Franklin was the event promoter and with such short notice I thought he did a fine job.  The Capitol grounds chaplain opened up the ceremony with prayer and then he spoke a little on the Christians place in such times as these.  The leader of the KY tea parties was there as was a representative of Sen. Rand Paul’s staff.  Citizens in the crowd had many opportunities to speak what was on their minds also.

While this was nice to see and a good place to shake hands and talk face to face with those in your state,  I don’t see to much coming from it in the form of political change.  Those of us who have been following politics for years realize some real drastic measures will have to be taken and some hard decisions will have to be made to restore Constitutional principles to this country.  It will take patriots and statesmen to retake this country from the liberals, communist and progressives that have nibbled away for decades seizing every opportunity to eat away at our liberties like a cancer.

As a citizen following the patriot movement what I got out of this was a type of edification and a new sense of urgency that we must too seize every opportunity to reach out to our fellow statesmen and continue to organize and build networks for when the real hard work begins.

I would like to thank all of those who took the time to come and stand up for what is theirs and look forward to shaking hands again with some of those I met on Saturday.  May God help us and guide us in the days to come and whatever the outcome, may it be his will.

The fight for Liberty.

I have had a lot of recent feedback from the last post in the form of emails.  Some are preparing for the fight for liberty.  That preparing comes in many different colors.  Some are getting involved in politics for the first time in their lives, contacting their representatives to let them know how they feel on issues.

Wherever you are in life, if you are paying attention you realize there are many problems facing those of us who want true Liberty for ourselves and our family.  The liberals, Marxist, Socialists, Democrats, Republicans or whatever other name you want to give those who are working against what America once stood for are fighting daily to take our rights and liberties away.  They have been very effective in their tactics.  It is time for you as an American to decide what you are willing to do in this fight, and then follow through and do it.

There are many ways one can fight, I will not go into all of those, that is for you to decide, but here is a list of places one can get started in Kentucky….

March on Frankfort

The past several decades our rights and liberties have been under attack by those sworn to uphold and defend them.  It is time to make our voices heard and give  a list of our grievances. Our Bill of Rights(1st 10 Amendments) are our rights from birth, granted to us by our creator, not privileges that a politician can take away.  They are not up for debate.

I propose we march around the capital and rally at the capital steps. I also propose we do this open carry with rifles slung over our shoulders.  Especially after the attacks the 2nd Amendment has been taking by the media, the president and congress.  After all the 2nd protects all the others.

The General Assembly reconvenes January 8 for its 2013 regular 30-day session. It will meet most weekdays through March 7, take a recess to give the governor a chance to veto any bills, and then meet again on March 25-26 to consider any vetoes and then adjourn.

So this gives us little time to organize a march on our capitol.  I will do all I can to help get this March up and going but I am going to need help.  I will fight for my rights and you will have to fight for yours.  Anyone interested in making your voice heard and this march a success can email me @ mjmontey2@aol.com.

The main purpose of this blog.

As many in the patriot community are aware, TL and others have called for a March to Liberty.  I too, think it is past time for those who consider themselves hard line Conservatives, Patriots and real Americans, stand tall and push back those that wish to be our masters.  We have been playing defense for far too long and often times we would not even show up at all.

My hope is that this site can bring those together in the state of Kentucky to find solutions to the problems we face with the political class.  A place where we can build bonds and map out a course of action to stop the long train of abuses that have taken place. This idea of a march is not a new one, but maybe be can build new momentum with all those citizens who have been watching the government grow more and more out of control over the years.  The ones who have been watching and waiting for the right time to come on board.  Well, the time is now.

So this site is dedicated to preserving the liberties we still have, and regaining all those we have lost.  It will be a long hard road, but it will not be futile.  Those of you who say that it is an impossible tasks, need not apply.  Continue to sit on the sidelines and watch the last beacon of liberty fade.  I plan on working to restore liberty for my children and leave them with that legacy.

I will give this site time to get up and running and let all those who wish to be involved the chance to determine the paths we will take.

I know no safe …

I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education.
